Excavating for the tower foundation and testing soil compaction.
Heavyer equipment had to be brought in to compact the soil to specs.

Forms are being set up for the foundation for AT&T's building.

Setting up the forms and rebar for the foundation of the tower - 34 feet wide and 6 ft. deep.
It will take 18 cement trucks to fill this with cement.

This cat kept the road open for the workmen and equipment to get to the site as most of the construction was done in February and March 2002. The site is 2 1/2 miles from State Hwy 33. The county plows 2 miles of the road.

Pouring the tower foundation. At one time four trucks were pouring at once.

A tent (actually a temporary building) was built over the foundation.
This tent was heated while the concrete finished curing.

The 14,000 volt primary power line was burried in conduit to make it more reliable.

The first tower section is mounted in place by our tower crew.
